Priyanka Chopra’s web series ‘Citadel’ has been released recently. This series has received so much love from the audience that it has become the number one web series worldwide. This claim has been made by an American website. According to the report of the website, ‘Citadel’ has made its place in the world’s most popular web series at the moment. It is being said that this web series has defeated web series like ‘Succession’ and ‘The Mandalorian’.
‘Citadel’ releases on Amazon Prime Video on 28 April. The action spy thriller is directed by the Russo Brothers (Joe and Anthony). The series stars Richard Madden in a key role alongside Priyanka Chopra. This series of 6 episodes has been produced for about 300 million dollars. If seen in Indian rupees, then this budget is around 2455 crores and it is being described as the most expensive web series in the history of TV. After the release of the series, it received a mixed response from the critics. Despite this, this series is winning the hearts of the audience.
The Indian version of the series is currently in shooting which stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles.
