Emmy-nominated anthology film lust stories is now coming out with a second installment with what appears to be an even bigger cast and hopefully the same honest unapologetic storytelling. Lust Stories 2 consists of different film pieces directed by R. Balki, Sujoy Ghosh, Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and Konkona Sen Sharma starring eminent movie stars; Tamannah Bhatia, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Varma, Angad Bedi, Tillotama Shome, Kumud Mishra, Neena Gupta, and Amruta Subhash.
The trailer circles the same themes of lust&love especially that of women and the unique situations that arise because of it. The opening scene of the trailer features Neena Gupta as an older woman alluding to the importance of female pleasure as glimpses of the rest of the stories play out. We can see the four main stories being that of Vijay Varma & Tamannah stuck in what appears to be an extramarital love affair, Kajol and Kumud Mishra as husband and wife while the latter has a deep desire for the house help followed by Tillotama Shome who seems to catch her maid in the act and lastly, Neena Gupta encouraging Mrunal Thakur who looks to be her granddaughter to pursue passion. Get it, Grandma!
The film though similar to its first part in its themes, seems to be exploring the depths of desire and love across a wider age spectrum and complicated situations. There is no doubt that the film will stir conversations and drip with ardor. Finally, getting to see Vijay Varma and Tamannahs chemistry on screen is a treat, Nena Gupta is as impeccable and noteworthy as ever and this is something new for Kajol. All in all the trailer ends on a perfect note and seems to be a hit, with people excited for its release on June 29th!
