The Summer I Turned Pretty has been renewed for the second season. The 8 episode series began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on July 14th and features Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Jackie Chung, Rain Spencer, Elsie Fisher, Kyra Sedgwick, David Iacono, and Rachel Blanchard.
Recently the cast of The Summer I Turned Pretty, revealed their first impressions and how they met each other. The casting for The Summer I Turned Pretty, was conducted online, and the leading lady believes doing the reads in front of the computer screen was scary as they had to do it in front of the camera online.
Lola Tung also disclosed that she and Sean Kaufman went to the same high school at the same time, but unlike Lola, who knew him like a senior, Sean wasn’t aware of her presence. Lola also articulated, ” I felt lucky, reading with Sean, doing our chemistry.” because she felt the connection with him even through the screen, she added, ” That’s my brother right there.” Sean agreed with what she said.
