Hansal Mehta who cast Karishma Tanna as the leading lady for his series Scoop, revealed that people questioned his decision talking about her image.
The Scoop director also shared that people would say, that Karishma is from Television and has done shows like Bigg Boss and that it was a risk for him. He also shared that was the case with Aligarh as he shortlisted the lead star and people would make senseless claims.
Hansal Mehta and his son Jay Mehta are currently promoting their recent OTT release and a Disney Original Lootere. The father and son duo share that they are excited about the response. Lootere has received a great response from critics. Deepak Tijori, Martial Batchamen Tchana, and Avanish Pandey play the lead roles in the eight-episode series which began streaming on Disney+Hotstar on 22nd March 2024.
