In a interview, Esha opens up about her life being born to Bollywood superstars Dharmendra and Hema Malini. When asked about her simple bringing up, she answers that it was different then.
There is no importance given such as celebrity kid which made her go to school like a normal kid and do usual things. She loved traveling with everyone in train as she was into sports back in her school days. Talking about seeing her parents as huge celebrities while growing up, she added saying she found watching every of her parents films and their influence about choosing acting as her career adding one can’t escape from the industry family. However, her parents has raised her strictly that she even has to take permission to wear bikini during shooting for film ‘Dhoom’.
When broached about nepotism, she answered saying it was never there during her debut but these generational kids may feel hampering with pressure added under the name of nepotism. Putting up with pressure of industry expectations coming from film family legacy, she told it’s equally blessed and hard at the same time.
About managing balance between work and family post marriage, She said she had made some time to do few good roles in short films also producing message oriented shorts as she was handling her two daughters Radhya and Miraya and keeping them away from media.

Esha has been praised constantly for her performance in the web series.
