The political thriller Anek, directed by Anubhav Sinha, has ended its box office run. The movie made Rs 8.15 crore at the box office.
So the film is ready to stream on the OTT platform. Ayushmann Khurrana starrer impresses the audience as an undercover cop on a mission to gain peace in Northeast India. Billed as a socio-political thriller, Anek is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Sinha under the banners of T-series and Benaras Mediaworks.
Ayushmann Khurrana is the main lead in the film. In key roles, the political thriller also features JD Chakravarthy, Andrea Kevichusa, Manoj Pahwa, and Kumud Mishra.
The film’s first shot begins with a racist attack on one of the leads, Andrea Kevichusa, by the police before it moves on to a scathing interview of a fictional rebel leader, Tiger Sanga, that exposes the supposed Indianness of the region.
Anubhav Sinha has taken a daring and ambitious plot to explore the fractured politics of North-East India.
