Alia Bhatt and Vijay Varma starrer Darlings were nominated for Filmfare Awards under the category of Best Story Web Film. Darlings was released on 5th August 2022 on Netflix and the film revolves around an abusive husband and a submissive wife, Alia plays the role of Badrunissa Sheikh who after dealing with the same pattern of behavior decides to take matters into her own hands in order to live a peaceful life.
On the work front, Alia is working on Jigra which is co-produced by the actress, Karan Johar, and Somen Mishra. The film is Vasan Bala’s directorial and has yet to commence the shoot recently.
Alia looks like a rebel school student in the motion picture posted by the team. Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar come together to bankroll the fill. Alia also many more films lined up for shoot Brahmastra Parts 2 and 3 are reported to be released in 2024 and 2026. Alia alongside Ranbir Kapoor will soon appear on the big screen. Jigra is reported to hit the theatres later in 2024 around September.
