Alia Bhatt, an entrepreneur, actor, and producer, joins Amazon Video as an executive producer for the QC Entertainment-produced Amazon Original Series Poacher, set to premiere on Prime Video soon. The series uncovers the most giant ivory poaching ring in Indian history.
Alia, an internationally acclaimed artist, is also well-known for her advocacy work in environmental protection and sustainable development. Her role as executive producer for Poacher through her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, demonstrates her faith in the story and her determination to give a voice to those without one.
Bhatt is on board via her Eternal Sunshine Productions outfit. She debuted as a producer with the 2022 Netflix film “Darlings,” alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Produced, written, and directed by Emmy-winning director Richie Mehta, the series features an ensemble cast that includes Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Nimisha Sajayan. On February 23, Poacher will make its exclusive streaming debut on Prime Video. The series will primarily be released in Malayalam, Hindi, and English.
