Aavesham Tamil OTT Gets Release Date

The Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil’s blockbuster “Aavesham,” which premiered on Amazon Prime Video last month, is now set to stream in Tamil as well. Reports confirm that the Tamil version of this highly successful film has already been censored and approved. “Aavesham” has achieved notable box office success, becoming the highest-grossing movie featuring Fahadh Faasil, known for his role in “Pushpa.”

Initial Release and Box Office Triumph

Unlike many other Malayalam films, “Aavesham” was initially released on Amazon Prime Video in May, exclusively in its original language. This approach mirrored its theatrical release, which also debuted only in Malayalam. Despite the language limitation, the movie broke box office records in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, demonstrating its wide appeal and strong performance in regional markets.

Aavesham Tamil OTT Release Date

While a significant portion of the audience has already enjoyed the original Malayalam version of “Aavesham,” the Tamil dubbed version is scheduled to be available on Amazon Prime Video on June 21, 2024. This new release is expected to attract even more viewers, expanding the film’s reach and accessibility across different linguistic groups.

Fahadh Faasil’s Preference for Original Language Releases

Fahadh Faasil, who also co-produced “Aavesham,” generally prefers releasing his films solely in Malayalam. In a previous interview, he expressed his belief that audiences should experience his movies in the original language to fully appreciate the cultural nuances and authenticity. This approach aims to preserve the integrity of the film’s rootedness, allowing it to resonate deeply with viewers nationwide.

Plot of Aavesham

However, the setting of “Aavesham,” predominantly in Bengaluru, offers some flexibility regarding language. The film features a gripping storyline with Fahadh Faasil, Sajin Gopu, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Hipster. It follows a trio of college students who become entangled with a gangster to seek revenge against their seniors, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Sequel Hints and Future Plans

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, “Aavesham” hints at a potential sequel, focusing on the backstory of Fahadh’s character, Ranga. Fahadh Faasil has expressed interest in reprising his role to delve deeper into Ranga’s past. Emphasizing his eagerness to collaborate again with Sajin Gopu, who played his loyal sidekick Amban. This sequel tease has generated significant buzz and anticipation among fans.
