Zero Movie Director Aanand L. Rai released his last film in 2021, titled Atrangi Re, starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. Songs from both the movies Zero and Atrangi Re were super hits, but both films got negative responses from the audiences. However, his initial movies, Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, starring Kangan and Madhavan, were blockbusters.
Now, after 2 years of break, Anand is coming up with an exciting step, launching two newcomers, Ansh Duggal and Pragati Srivastava. Anand is all set to direct his next film, titled Nakhrewaali, which is an adaptation of Satya Vyas’ best-selling novel, Dilli Darbaar. Dilli Darbaar, published in 2016, narrates the story of a young, careless flirt called Rahul and how his life takes turns after going to Delhi for studies.
The film was announced in late October, and rumours circulated that Sunny Kaushal had been chosen for Nakhrewaali. However, in the latest update, we learned that it is Ansh Duggal.
Ansh Duggal appeared in Dhvani Bhanushali’s music video called Nayan, released in 2020, and Pragati Srivastav is a Telugu actress. She played a lead role in the recently released movie Peddha Kapu. Meanwhile, Aanand L. Rai is fully occupied with pre-production for his next directorial, Tere Ishq Mein. The tragic love story marks his third collaboration with Tamil superstar Dhanush after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re.
