Yaariyan 2 teaser
Yaariyan’s sequel, Yaariyan 2 is coming to us through T-Series towards the end of 2023. Today, its teaser dropped, already nearing 140k views in less than an hour. This is a movie with Divya Khosla Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Yash Daasguptaa, Meezaan Jafri, Anaswara Rajan, Priya P Varrier, Warina Hussain, Pearl V Puri.
The movie is revolving around Divya Khosla’s marriage and a cousin relationship. Divya, from the first scene itself, is seen in a bridal lehenga, running for her dear life to board a bus. In the second scene, the couple – from what it looks like – is eloping. The teaser keeps the viewers confused because of its fast-paced scenes. So much is happening to keep a track or make sense out of it. When the movie runs in the theatres, it’ll start to piece together. For that, the fans must wait until October 20th, 2023.
The tagline ‘Cousins by blood, friends by choice’ seems to be telling us that this installment of the Yaariyan franchise is going to be about cousins, friendship and the tricky ups and downs of life, that only bring them closer.

Yaariyan – the first installment – was the movie that proved to be Rakul Preet Singh’s breakthrough in Bollywood. Most of the crowd remembers her from the song ‘Baarish’ from Yaariyan movie. Not just that, the movie undoubtedly did well for the whole team, including the music team. Mohammed Irfan, the ‘Baarish’ song singer got several honourable projects to work in after Yaariyan. With Rakul Preet Singh and Himansh Kohli in the lead, the movie was a blockbuster. YoYo Honey Singh’s ‘Aaj Blue Hai Paani’ song was everyone’s jam back in the days. In the teaser of Yaariyan 2, we see a more melodious, slowed down version of that song by Arijit Singh playing in the background.
However, Yaariyan is completely based on friendship and boys exploring the concept of love and casual relationships. With such a superhit response to the first one, comparatively, the audience is not happy with Yaariyan 2 as it lacks the energetic fun. It’s more dramatic and melancholic, something the audience is disapproving of. Will the movie do well in Cinemas after a majority of reviews are negative?
