Several reports surfaced over the weekend, claiming that Taylor Swift would perform at this year’s Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 4. However, Entertainment Tonight confirmed that Swift would not be performing, but she will make an appearance at the show. The 66th annual Grammy Awards have nominated Swift’s album Midnights for six awards.
Midnights is up for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year, while Swift’s single “Anti-Hero” is nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Swift is also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song “Karma.” Swift has received a total of 52 nominations and has won 12 Grammys.
Swift is the only female solo artist to win the Album of the Year Grammy three times for her solo work. She received the award in 2009 for Fearless, 2015 for 1989, and again in 2020 for Folklore. This year, she competes against SZA, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, and Lana Del Rey in several categories, including the prestigious Album of the Year award.
Taylor is heading to Tokyo for the next leg of the Eras Tour that begins on February 7th and concludes on February 10th while the Superbowl is on February 11th. It is reported that the singer is all set to perform at the Super Bowl only for her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
