Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is dried up of blockbusters after Majili. It was way back in 2019. After that, he starred in Venky Mama, Love Story, and Bangarraju and all three were flops at the box office. Even before Majili, the actor’s movies like Dochay, Premam, Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo, Rarandoy Veduka Chuddam, Yuddham Sharanam, Shailaja Reddy Alludu, and Savyasachi were all average or flop movies. As a result, all his hopes lie in his latest project Thank You. The director of this film, Vikram K Kumar also badly needs a hit now. After Manam, Suriya’s 24, Hello, Nani’s Gangleader were the films Vikram directed and except 24, all the remaining were average flicks.
But, Producer Dil Raju seems to be very neglecting the promotions of the film. To be released on July 8th, i.e, today, the film was later postponed to 22nd of this month, owing to less time in promotions. Even then, there is no wave about the movie at all. The cine observers are puzzled if Dil Raju is overconfident about the film or if he is lacking confidence in the film’s success. Except for one or two interviews here and there, there is no real buzz regarding this movie. For F3, Raju has involved himself in every step of promotions to make sure the film reached all corners. The same zeal is not seen in him in Thank You’s case. The Akkineni fans are expressing their anger regarding the same on social media.
Starring Rashi Khanna, Malavika Nair and Avika Gor alongside Chay, the flick is said to be having a plot similar to Naa Autograph. Currently, Chay has Lal Singh Chaddha and Venkat Prabhu’s directorial lineup. He will be starring in Amazon Prime Original series called Dootha which too is directed by Vikram K Kumar.
