This has to be the most hilarious group interview in the recent past. With the entire crew of Asur 2 – Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Riddhi Dogra, Anupriya Goenka, Gaurav Arora and Meiyang Chang, these will be the best 18 minutes of your day. Arshad Warsi’s responses to some of the questions will have you on the floor laughing. A fan says, “Arshad Warhi’s reactions are hilarious OMG. This man is unbelievable his comic sense and humour is unparalleled man…… What a man”
Coming back to the interaction, this was an after-launch event for Asur 2 where the interviewer asked a lot of insightful questions. Upon telling the group, “Asur’s script is very difficult to understand,” Warsi’s dropped his first laughing-gas bomb saying, “We did it because we didn’t understand it.” followed by an outburst of laughter in the whole room. There’s a reason he’s aced films like Golmaal.
On a serious note, Arshad was hell bent on reserving his place in the series when the script landed in his hands. “I told my manager that they have to do something in order for me to be a part of the show and then when I got the number, I gave the makers a call and got onboard. I really thought it was one of the most enticing scripts that I’ve heard. The combo of taking something absolutely different – science and mythology, which are diametrically opposite and putting them together and making sense of it was a nice thing. It was a deeply researched script”
Regarding a part 3, Arshad says it’s foolish not to create Asur 3 and put the curious minds to a break. “If you are watching a series and you are enjoying it, you want closure. You want to see what happens in the end. If someone shuts the film 30 minutes before the end, I’d kill them (jokingly).”
For viewers, cliffhangers are the worst nightmare. We all agree to this Golmaal actor when he calls for Asur 3 already. What a pain not to find out how the story ends!
