Natural Star Nani and Nazriya’s Ante Sundaraniki movie was released Yesterday to a positive talk. Even though the response and reviews were unanimously good worldwide, something is wrong with the collections of this Vivek Athreya directorial.
According to trade sources, the Telugu states’ combined first-day share was just Rs 3.87 Crores, and the Gross was just around Rs 6.50 Crores. The movie is touted to be a pure class movie, and even the promotions and appeal have mainly attracted the urban and A class audience while the mass audience of B and C centers were not much interested in the film. On the other hand, the success of Major and Vikram too might have affected Nani’s film, says the trade analysts.
Overall, Ante Sundaraniki has just 35 percent of bookings by Saturday morning. As break even stands at roughly Rs 30 Crores, the movie has to perform exceedingly well with solid word of mouth. If it goes in the way of Ala Modalaindi, which too slowly gained the mass audience, Ante Sundaraniki might safely pass the test. For now, it is the movie with the lowest openings in Nani’s recent releases.
