Just with two films, director Venu Udugula got the name of a creative and sensible director. His two films Needi Nadi Oke Kadha and Virata Parvam, are both critically acclaimed yet commercially not so successful films. This bothers the producers who are ready to do movies with him. Though his films are thought-provoking and sensible, they are not targeted at any particular audience, making it difficult for them to collect like regular commercial films. But, he is still lucky as big producers have their eyes on him. According to the Film Nagar sources, Sithara Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers have booked him by giving him advance.
Both the production houses are planning to make medium-budget movies with him. Even though Venu has stories for Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi.. his Virata Parvam collections might affect production houses to bring heroes of high range. Powerstar is not even completing the movies he has already committed to; on the other hand, Megastar also already has many films in hand. Even if they can adjust their dates, Mythri and Sithara are unsure whether they will accept the two-film-old director. The houses are said to have directed Venu to write new stories for medium-range heroes on which the young director is currently working.
