Vishnu Shares His Good Deeds As MAA President

Collection King Mohan Babu’s son Manchu Vishnu was in headlines ever since he became MAA president. His controversial statements gained attention from lot of netizens.

Now, as the actor has completed one year as MAA president, he listed the acts that are coming to action in the Movie Artists Association. Talking in a press meet, Vishnu says that 90 percent of the promises made during MAA elections are fulfilled now.

“MAA has members who are not actors. We have taken decisions to be strict regarding the membership. Lead actors who acted in at least two films and if the movies are released, they can get permanent membership in MAA. Character actors should have at least ten films and that too with their screen presence for at least 5 minutes. Associate members won’t have the right to vote. We have already conveyed to the producers to offer roles to the members only and the producers’ council also considers our word. Actors or Members who post on social media against MAA will be permanently removed from MAA. Any person who has five years of membership can contest in MAA elections,” Manchu Vishnu added

Talking about the MAA building, the actor said,’ We have two options regarding the construction of the MAA building. One is to construct a building near film Nagar and the second option is to construct a new building in the place of the current film chamber building at my own expense. Many of the members agreed to the second option”. “We have introduced a book on how the majority of actors can get a chance to work. Under the advisory of Padmasri Sunitha Krishnan, we are forming a committee to protect women members of MAA. Members who are above 60 years of age and also financially weak, will get the pension through MAA.”, The actor added.

Manchu Vishnu is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Ginna as well.
