Virata Parvam Makers Are In Regret. Why?

There are very few movies that have everything fall in place and yet are unable to be successful. Rana Daggubati’s Virataparvam definitely falls in that category. The makers had done everything they could to create the necessary hype for this revolution plot-based flick. Many stars and directors supported the film and wrote positively about the movie on their social media accounts. Even word of mouth was very positive. But mysteriously, all that hype never transformed into collections. Though made under a significantly lower budget, the film still was left with huge losses at the end of its theatrical run.

According to the inside sources, the makers are on regret that they should not have released the film in theatres. A popular OTT platform has asked for movie rights for a whopping Rs 40 Crores, which is a profitable deal for the producers. Even Suresh Babu, who presented the film, suggested the makers let the film air on OTT. But the director Venu Udugula and producers too were convinced about the movie plot and Sai Pallavi’s stardom to pull the audience to theatres which obviously didn’t happen. Overall, the theatrical run total of Virataparvam stands at a meager Rs 7 Crores, which should be considered disastrous.
