Vetrimaaran’s upcoming movie line up- deets inside

The ace director, Vetrimaaran made his directorial debut with the thriller film Polladhvan and other works Aadukalam, Asuran and Visarani won multiple National Awards and received highly positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Visarani premiered and won Amnesty International Italia Award at Venice Film Festival and was selected as India’s official entry to Academy Awards. He mostly collaborates with actor Dhanush. He also produces films under the production company, Grass Root Film Company. The critically acclaimed director is busy with seven projects

1. Vidutahalai Part 2 with Vijay Sethupathi- After the Blockbuster success of the recently released Vidutahalai Part 1 the director is working on its sequel.

2. Vaadivaasal with Surya- The director is working simultaneously on Vidutahalai part 2 and the CGI works for VaadiVaasal.

3. A project with Dahush and NTR – The film will be set in against a KGF backdrop. The most successful duo reunited for the fifth time. The project might take off in early 2025.

4. A project with Kamal Hasan- The Actor will soon team up with the director for an exciting film. The buzz is that the film is based on a novel and will be made with a budget of 100 crores.

5. Vada Chennai 2- Vertimaraan said at the audio release of Rudhram that the film will happen after the release of Vidutahalai Part 2 and Vaadi Vaasal.

6. A project with Vijay Thalapathy- Actor Thamizh confirmed that Vijay gave a nod to the line narrated by Vetrimaaran.

6.Vada Chennai prequel film ” Rajan Vagaiyara”-It’s part 1 of trilology.This Rajan character played by director Ammer is so pivotal to the Vada Chennai world. The film is set to release soon.

7. A web series for Zee 5- Vertimaaran is all set to don the writer’s hat for a Zee 5 original web series. The director will also co-produce with Zee 5.
