Tollywood director Sagar who served as the President of the Telugu director’s association thrice passed away this morning at his residence in Chennai.
Sagar, a veteran director in Tollywood, has been away from the film industry for a while. However, he recently made a comeback and made headlines for launching comedian Sapthagiri as a hero. Throughout his career, Sagar has directed several well-known films such as “Amma Donga” and “Sagara Sanchalanam”. He has also been key in introducing two successful directors to the Telugu film industry, VV Vinayak and Sreenu Vaitla.
Sagar returned to Tollywood last time as a producer with a thriller film titled “Charuseela”. The film stars Rajeev Kanakala, Jaswanth and Rashmi Gautam in lead roles. In addition, Sagar has participated in many promotional interviews back then and commented on the acting abilities of several senior actors in the industry, including Allu Ramalingaiah, Rao Gopal Rao, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sharada, Vani Sri, Nagma, and Indraja.
Sagar’s associates have become star directors and are all deeply saddened by the director’s demise. May his soul rest in peace.
