Venkatesh Maha Says Don’t Hit Others For His Opinion

For two days, Director Venkatesh Maha is at the centre of a major controversy as his critical comments on KGF 2 drew severe flak from various sections of movie lovers.

Maha slammed KGF 2 and also abused Yash’s character by saying, “Nee*h Ka*ine Ku*te.” This comment by Venkatesh has not gone down well with KGF fans as they’ve criticised him for his ill views.

Finally, the director responded to this controversy with a video. However, he maintains his views on the film and the characters in the film remain unchanged. Venkatesh said he has a difference of opinion and he also said his comments were on a film character but not on any individual. He claimed that many others also voiced a similar opinion to his. He claimed he received several messages supporting his critical remarks. He said he regrets the choice of his words and the way he had expressed them. He said people are misunderstanding his comments because of his language and body language.

For the unversed, yesterday, directors Nandini Reddy and Vivek Athreya, who were also part of the director’s roundtable and trolled vehemently, took to their social media and apologized to movie lovers for hurting their sentiments. Reacting to trolls on other members of the panel, Venkatesh Maha wrote, “I don’t want any one of them to take a hit for my opinion. They are some of the most respected directors in the Telugu film Industry, and I humbly request you all to protect that.”
