Thalapathy Vijay is all gearing up for his upcoming release Varisu. The film is releasing during the festive period of Sankranti. As expected, Sankrathi is too crowded with the other biggies. Vijay’s Varisu is not arriving solo as multiple films are coming during the same period. Despite tough competition, the film is enjoying a huge buzz in the market.
As per the reports flowing in, Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu (Varasudu in Telugu) has been sold at a record price in overseas. The actioner has fetched around 35 crores for its theatrical rights at the global box office.
From the actor’s own state Tamil Nadu, it has bagged 72 crores.The Rights in Kerala and Karnataka are sold at 15 crores. Telugu states’ rights are reportedly sold at 10 crores+. But the producer of the film Dil Raju is releasing in most of the areas in Telugu states.
As per trade analysts, the theatrical rights of Karnataka region solds at a whooping price of 9 crores. It is noteworthy that Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead in this movie, is from Karnataka.
Apart from theatrical rights, Varisu has earned a whopping 50 crores Sun TV Networks for satellite rights. OTT rights have been sold at 60 crores for Amazon Prime Video. And coming to Audio rights have been sold at 5 crores to T-Series.
