Thalapthy Vijay is all set to release his Varisu, which is one of the biggies scheduled for the Sankranti 2023 release. The film will be released alongside Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Ajith’s Thunivu. Tollywood Ace producer Dil Raju is bankrolling Varisu and Tollywood director Vamshi Paidipally is the director.
Today the film went under censor treatment and after completion, it’s reported as a clean U certificate. As the film is a complete family drama entertainer the film gets the clean U certificate.
From long ago, we are gone through with news that the Telugu Film Producer’s Council has made a serious objection to Dil Raju’s Tamil film Varisu releasing during the festive season.
In past, Dil Raju did the same thing for the Petta release- not a direct Telugu film. So as per the rules, the council made the statement to allocate more theatres for our Telugu releases rather than for dubbed movies.
As other film industries were very strict and favor only their original movies in their states. Then why can’t we do the same to our own releases?.. Rules will apply to anyone on the same basis though he is producing the film.
Already the heart King blocks almost all the theatres for Varisu rather than allocating more for regional language films like Veerasimha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. The Vijay’s Varisu is coming on January 12 for Pongal.
