There are few ever classics in Tollywood, and Sankarabharanam films occupy the prominent place among them. The film was directed by K Viswanath and produced by Edida Nageswara Rao under Poornodaya Art Creations bagged blockbuster at the time of its release. Released on 2nd February in 1980, the film has JV Somayajulu and Manju Bhargavi in the lead roles.
Film bagged many honors in the past and Now after many years, it has received another rare honor. Getting in the news, Sankarabharanam has been chosen under ‘Restored Indian Classics’ at the 2022 International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa.
National Film Archives of India have taken an initiative of digitalising the classic Indian films and storing them. Interestingly, Sankarabharanam got selected in the drive.
