Tillu Square dominates Bollywood film Crew at North America box office

For the first time this year, two Indian films cracked the top ten list of the week’s largest films at the North American box office. Tillu Square, a Telugu film, was ranked eighth, while Crew, a Hindi film, came in ninth.

Tillu Square hit it out of the park at the worldwide box office during its opening weekend. The Tollywood comedy entertainer dominated Bollywood film Crew at North America box office.

The crew, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, received $1.5 million. Crew stars Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, and has received a positive response from moviegoers and reviewers.

Tillu Square, a romantic criminal comedy film starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran and a sequel to 2022’s hit DJ Tillu, debuted to great success on its opening weekend.

In its debut weekend, it grossed an estimated 55 crores at the global box office. The film grossed approximately 37.50 crores in India, with an estimated 18 crores in overseas revenue after the first three-day weekend.

Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu-starrer made the most of the long weekend. The film has raked in Rs 32.7 crore in India in the first weekend.

Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, had a strong start at the box office and surged over the weekend. According to the creators, Crew earned Rs 11.45 crore on Sunday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 32.7 crore. Its total worldwide collection is Rs 62.53 crore gross.
