The festive season is nearing and the films were gearing up for releases for Pongal. This time both in Tollywood and Kollywood have 2 big clashes coming ahead for Sankranti festival.

From Tollywood, Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veerasimha Reddy is on track to hold a fight. And from Kollywood we have Vijay Thalapathy’s Varisu and Ajith King’s Thunivu is headed for a clash. Interestingly, these two were also releasing in Telugu version simultaneously.

Reportedly, the makers wrapped up shooting for Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu, and the first single from the film, Chilla Chilla, will be out on Friday.

The latest update is that Thunivu’s Telugu theatrical rights are bagged by Ivy Productions and Radha Krishna Entertainments for both the Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The star has huge fandom down South but it seems it hasn’t worked this time as the Telugu rights were sold for only 3 crores according to trade resources.

And also, the makers are in dead slow to make the promotions for the film. And also the movie didn’t get much number of theatres in Telugu states.

The film is directed by H Vinoth and it stars Manju Warrier, Veera, Samuthirakani, Ajay, John Kokken, Mahanadhi Shankar, Amir, Pavni, Cibi Chandran, GM Sundar, Bhagavathy Perumal and others. The film is all set to hit the theatres for Pongal 2023.

Billed as a bank heist thriller featuring Ajith as a grey-shaded character. The post-production work is going on in full swing, and the team is planning to wrap it up soon. Produced by Bay View Projects and Zee Studios, the film has music by Ghibran.
