The title of Ajith’s forthcoming action film Thunivu is taken straight from Telugu in this regard. According to the sources, The title of the Telugu adaptation of Thunivu will be Tegimpu. This film is planned for distribution around the forthcoming Sankranti festival. The Sankranti race is already being contested by Waltair Veerayya of Chiru, Veera Simha Reddy of Balayya, and Varisu of Vijay. The competition between these three movies is rumored to be fierce. The addition of Ajith’s Tegimpu makes this race even more intriguing.
In Tamil Nadu, Ajith is one of the most well-known celebrities. He has a sizable fan base in Tollywood as well. While Vijay’s Varasudu costs roughly 20–25 crores, the movie rights of Tegimpu were purchased for just 3 crores. The competition between these films makes it difficult for the distributors to locate theatres. The 11th of January 2023 is set aside for the release of the movie Tegimpu.
