‘The Kerala Story’ trailer is currently trending and has been in the news for the past few days. Amid all these, the director of this film, Sudipto Sen’s website got hacked. The story of the film is about thousands of girls from Kerala being converted to Islam for recruitment to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Adah Sharma plays the role of one of these girls who has been forced to convert and join ISIS.
Being a true and controversial story, It has been the main topic for the past few days and is receiving both positive and negative viewpoints. Recently, even the CM of Kerala expressed his disappointment regarding the story. With all these going on, the hackers have taken down the website of the director. Hacktivist group Team Harox, hailing from Indonesia, has claimed responsibility for the DDoS attack on Sen’s website (https://lastmonk.in/).
A distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack is a malicious attempt to stop a server, network, or website from operating normally by flooding it with excessive amounts of internet traffic. It is infected with malware and prevents responding to genuine users. More news has to come out regarding this, and the exact reasons behind this act are yet to be known.
