Gladiator 2 is a sequel to the epic historic drama ”Gladiator” directed by the critically acclaimed Sir Ridley Scott. The film follows the story of the life of Commodus, the nephew of Maximus.
The film shooting began in June’s first week with additional filming on locations planned in Malta and the united kingdom over the following four months, An accident involving fire during the filming of June injured seven cast, members. In a statement, a spokesperson of paramount pictures said that the crew members experienced non-life-threatening injuries after the stunt went wrong. Six crew members received treatment with four being hospitalized.
The extended cast includes Pedro Pascal, denzel washington, Connie Nieslo, Paul Mescal, Digimon Gaston, and Joseph Quinn. The film is bankrolled by Scott Free Productions for paramount pictures and universal pictures. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 22, 2024.
