Anjali is an Indian actress and model who works in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She is well-known among Telugu moviegoers for her parts in the films Journey and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
Before landing a part and garnering notice in the Jiiva-starrer Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), she made her acting debut in the Telugu thriller Photo (2006). She was recognised as one of the “finest young actors” in Tamil cinema and was noted for primarily taking on “performance-oriented roles” after winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Tamil in 2010 and 2011, respectively, for her performances in Angaadi Theru and Engaeyum Eppothum. She also received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Angaadi Theru.
She is currently preparing for her milestone 50th movie. Venkat Prabhu released the movie’s title poster. Ashok Velayutham is the writer and director of this film, which has the working title Eegai and was manufactured under the names Green Amusement and D3 Production by Thangaraj Lakshmi Narayanan and J. Dinakar. Sridhar’s cinematography is set to Dharan Kumar’s music. The sentence “You can commit injustice by doing nothing” is interesting and appears on the poster.
She made a comeback to Telugu film in 2013 and acted in a number of commercially successful productions, including Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Balupu, Masala, Geethanjali, and Dictator. For her roles in the films Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013) and Geethanjali (2014), she also won two Nandi Awards for Best Actress.
