The most anticipated and awaited trailer of Varasudu (Varisu) was released on January 04, 2023, at 5:30 pm. The Telugu trailer got 2.6 million views and the Tamil trailer got 20 million views in 17 hrs.
From the trailer, it is seen that this is a routine Telugu family drama, in which a successful family has two responsible sons to look after their father’s legacy and the last child is a full-time fun seeker. The trailer received a huge response from the Tamil audience but not from the Telugu audience. The team Varisu also claims that Vijay had a huge market in Kollywood and this is a Tamil movie made for the Tamil audience.
But after watching the trailer the Telugu audience started trolling this movie as it is a mixture of a few Telugu movies. There are posts that the concept of responsible sons leaving the house was based on the Telugu Movie Goutam SSC 2005, the concept of a rich guy leading a normal life is inherited from Mahesh Babu Starer Srimanthudu 2015, and the responsibility of keeping family together was based on the movie Brahmotsavam 2016.
