Filipino American actor and comedian Jo Koy is hosting the Golden Globe Awards. He was seen talking about the Awards and hosting Hollywood’s Party Of The Year. Jo Koy said he was ready for any surprises, including Taylor Swift, who was nominated for cinematic and box office achievement for her record-breaking Eras Tour film.
Taylor Swift will be attending the star-studded show. Though her boyfriend Travis Kelce has a game that night, Jo quipped, “I’m going to go ahead and say it’s going to happen — how’s that?” That’s when people knew it would be more than comedy at the show.
And Jo Koy did it as he said. Jo Koy took the joke out of his mouth on the stage. “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.” Taylor Swift was weirded out by the joke, making her sit uncomfortably. Even Jo Koy was found embarrassed, immediately apologizing for the joke.
Ahead of the big night, if the comedian-actor considered taking the stage with these jokes making the guests uncomfortable, it would be a second-hand embarrassment for the host and the show producers.
