Actor and Former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen, shared a post on her Instagram where she mentioned that she has recently suffered from a heart attack and now she is doing fine.
She captioned the post, “I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back…Angioplasty is done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed, ‘I do have a big heart,’ Lots of people to thank for their timely aid & constructive action…will do so in another post!”
In addition to it, she stated, “This post is just to keep you (my well-wishers & loved ones) informed of the good news …that all is well & I am ready for some life again!!!”
She also mentioned some wise words from her father, “Keep your heart happy & courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona.”
Her fans wished her good health. A fan commented, “Omg didi! How are you now? May god bless you so many years of your life that you can live life with this sweet smile on your face. Your smile makes us smile. Jai maa durga.”
She is a model, actress and the 1994 Miss Universe pageant winner. It is the first time an Indian has won Miss Universe. At the age of 18, she had already won the Femina Miss India 1994 title. She became Miss Universe and has since performed as an actress in movies.
