Superstar Suriya was invited to the 2022 Oscar Award event as a chief guest and 396 other actors and actresses worldwide for the first time in Kollywood. Suriya has responded to this invite and revealed on his Twitter that he is accepting this invitation. “Thank you, The Academy, for the invitation, which I humbly accept. My Heartfelt thanks to all those who wished me, will always strive to make you all proud, ” the Jai Bheem actor tweeted.
Bollywood actress Kajol and director Pan Nalin are invited to the prestigious event along with him. Reema Kagti from the writers’ branch and Sushmit Ghosh-Rintu Thomas from the documentary branch will be present at the 2022 Oscars event. Along with fans, many co-stars too congratulated Suriya on his occasion. Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan tweeted few encouragement words Suriya. “Glad my brother Suriya treads the ground of stars. Despite gravity, which makes wings weak. We created angels and stars. Hence be a proud brother to join the crowd of excellence,” tweeted the Vikram star. Tamilnadu CM MK Stalin was on the list of biggies who congratulated Suriya. It’s noteworthy that Megastar Chiranjeevi is the first actor from South India to be invited by the Oscar committee. He got that invitation back in 1987.
