Tollywood Super Star Krishna Passes Away

Tollywood senior actor and Super Star Krishna passed away on Tuesday morning  He was admitted in continental hospital in Hyderabad on November 14th due to cardiac arrest. Popularly known as the Superstar of Tollywood, he strived a lot for Tollywood development.

Hailing from Mogaltur of Burripalem Village in Andhra Pradesh, He is the one who acted in the first Telugu Cinemascope as well as first eastman color film. He is the one who bought the first 70mm film and the first Tollywood DTS film for Telugu audiences.

 

He made his debut in 1962 in Madhusudhana Rao’s political thriller Padandi Munduku. However, he played a very small role in the film. Later, he worked in minor roles in many films including Tene Manasulu. Finally, in 1966, he made his solo debut with Adurthi Subba Rao’s Kanne Manasulu.

 

‘Alluri Seethaarama Raju’ and “Mosagallaku Mosagadu” are his notable films. He acted in more than 350 films and directed over 18 films and produced almost 17 films in his entire film career.

 

In 2009, he was also honored by the government of India with the Padma Bhushan.  The star’s journey has been indeed beautiful and all the celebrities are paying tribute to him.
