Among the stars of TFI, Sudheer Babu always goes out of his way to make his film stand out, although it might not work every time. His ‘Sridevi Soda Centre’ was appreciated for the attempt, while ‘Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali’ turned out to be the snooze fest.
Today, a new film of his was announced. Tentatively titled ‘#SD18’, the film announcement had an interesting concept weaved around itself. An inland postcard from Arun Gowli of South Bombay was sent to Subramanyam of Kuppam in the Chittoor district with the message “Critical: your arrival is needed.” With a temple from the village on the front, we can also see a gun, bullets, an old rupee note, a landline phone, and a cigar. The makers came up with an interesting tag of ‘Mass Sambhavam on October 31st’
Touted to be a period-action drama, with a background of supernatural elements, the movie is set in Kuppam in 1989. The film is directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka, who debuted this year with the rom-com ‘Seheri’ and is produced under a debut production house Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas
