After 5 years of the blockbuster success of Stree, a horror comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar rao and directed by Amar Kaushik, based on the urban legend of “Nale Ba”, the team is all set to begin shooting the story’s much awaited sequel. The first movie was a massive commercial and critical success, marking “horror-comedy” as a main stream genre of Hindi cinema. Stree ends on a cliff hanger, setting up this new installment perfectly.
Shooting for part 2 started this monday, with actor Rajkumar rao taking to Instagram to share a cute selfie with Shraddha captioned “Kya hoga jab fir se milenge #stree aur #purush. #Stree2” re-posted by Shraddha with a funny retort; “woh stree hai, woh (shhh… emoji) nahi karegi.” She also wrote, “Chanderi calling…Excitement rising.” During an event, the team performed a skit to reveal the release date of August 31, 2024 and fans are counting down the days till they get to watch their fave man-hating spirit from chanderi on the big screen!
