Today marks the 20th birthday of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and superstar actress Rani Mukerji‘s movie ‘Chalte Chalte’. Let’s know how good the movie was with a comment from their fan. “Chalte Chalte was a nice love story. Shahrukh khan and Rani Mukherjee’s acting was very well here. 1st half was a simple love story, but in the 2nd half it was a sorrow family story where a husband doubt his wife. And the movie goes on. Climax was superb Shahrukh khan again prove that he is the king of romance in this movie. Songs are great. Suno na suno na and dagariya chalo are one of my favourite song. I give the movie 5/5 stars.”
There’s a scene in the movie where a character asks Raj and Priya about their married life after which the script goes into a reverse direction. That’s Vani Tripathi’s part in Chalte Chalte. Vani once again spirals back to the filming days and says, “That’s one reason the film was very special for me because I’ve never played a central character before. In Chalte Chalte, the whole story of SRK and Rani was being narrated to the Sheetal, the character that I played,”
The work environment described by Vani will flutter your heart, filling it with a homely warmth. “Lunch time used to be one big party everyday on set. I remember Shah Rukh Khan would keep the entire unit like a family. He was also producing the film, and he goes that extra mile to make people comfortable. He always used to ask the actors, ‘How are you doing today? Do you need something? Did you eat enough food? Did you get enough sleep last week?’ He’d often say, ‘This is the least I can do’. It was this bond and compassion that made the film so special,”
