According to IMDb, Miles Morales catapults across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero. Sony began developing a sequel to Into the Spider-Verse before that film’s release in 2018, with the writing and directing team attached. It was set to focus on the relationship between Moore’s Miles and Steinfeld’s Gwen. The film was officially announced in November 2019 and animation work began in June 2020, with a different visual style for each of the six universes visited by the characters. It’s ready to hit the theatres on June 2nd, 2023.
