South lady superstar Nayanthara is reportedly in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali to play an essential role in the director’s much-anticipated dream period drama Baiju Bawra.
The self-made star debuted in Bollywood with the recent blockbuster Jawan. The film emerged as one of the all-time biggest box-office successes of Hindi cinema, featuring the celebrated actress in the fierce police officer role of Narmada Rai.
It is reported that the Jawan actress is being considered to play a vital role in Baiju Bawra, the musical period drama directed by Bollywood critically acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The musical period drama will feature National award-winner Alia Bhatt as the female lead and Ranveer Singh as the male lead.
The Baiju Bawra team suggests that the South superstar is not replacing Alia Bhatt. She has been approached to play an essential role in the film alongside leads Ranveer and Alia. The filmmakers are busy working on the terms and conditions as the actress still needs to sign.
