Hollywood actress Sofia Coppola’s much-anticipated biopic Priscilla is getting more advantageous if slightly delayed and the actress’s biopic is going to be released a month later than its slated release.
Priscilla talks about the memoir Priscilla Presley’s relationship with superstar singer Elvis, spanning her marriage, the birth of their daughter, the fights they had, and the eventual divorce. Priscilla premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival and received a 7-minute standing ovation.
Delaying the movie release allowed Priscilla to distance itself from the upcoming Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert movie which is projected to dominate the box office. Priscilla is Coppola’s adaptation of Presley’s memoir Elvis and Me goes behind the scenes of her marriage.
Coppola doesn’t paint herself as the princess living in a fairy tale but depicts the struggles of living with her husband’s temper, infidelity, addictions, and attempts to control her. It’s meant to be Priscilla’s stay more than anything.
The film was scheduled to release on October 27 but now it’s pushed to November 3. The biopic having a script that Sofia Coppola adapted from Priscilla Presley’s memoir Elvis and Me talks about the red flags she got into until Elvis died. Cailee Saeny plays Priscilla Presley while Jacob Elordi plays Elvis on the screen.
