Shocking! This celebrity Chef dies at the age of 46

Jock Zonfrillo was a Scottish television presenter and chef based in Melbourne, Australia. 

He was the founder of The Orana Foundation and one of the MasterChef Australia judges alongside Andy Allen and Melissa Leong.

In the past Zonfrillo worked as a dishwasher in the kitchen as a part-timer at the age of 13. At the age of 15, he left his school and started an apprenticeship in the kitchens of The Turnberry Hotel.

He became the head chef at Restaurant 41 in Sydney, Australia. In November 2013, he opened Restaurant Orana and Street ADL in Adelaide.

Zonfrillo was named Australia’s 2018 Hottest Chef in The Australian and Restaurant Orana was named Australia’s 2018 Restaurant of the Year by Gourmet Traveller magazine.

He faced many ups and downs and losses in his business but he kept on trying from the start.

He married his third wife Lauren Fried in 2017 and gave birth to a son on February 2018 and in Ostober 2020 they had their second child, a baby girl. He also has two other daughters from previous marriages.

He passed away yesterday, at the age of 46 and the police is not considering his death as suspicious.
