Sukhee Behind The Scenes
Now that Shilpa Shetty’s upcoming movie Sukhee is on the frontpage because of its amazing storyline, people are willing to know what went behind the shots, what made Shilpa Shetty pick the film. In an interaction, she proudly reveals that her real-life husband, Raj Kundra, encouraged her to take up the film because of the empowering, progressive message that it carries.
The actress said that she was not in a “good state of mind” when Sukhee was first offered to her. Shilpa said, “I wasn’t in a good state of mindset when the film was first offered. I had even suggested some names to the producer. But unhone than liya tha ke Sukhee ka character mere sath hi karna hai. He waited for 8 months and adjusted every step of the way. And that gave me so much confidence.” (But they had firmly decided that they wanted to do Sukhee’s character exclusively with just me.”
Revealing how her husband convinced her to do Sukhee, the actress continued, “The person who convinced me to do this film was my husband. Baki tum Karo na karo, iss film ko zaroor Karo. That journey of 8 months was because of him. He said hun sab mein ek Sukhee hai. Hum sabke dreams hai, hum sab sapne ko marte hai ek dusro ke liye. Hamare family conditioning aise kiya gaya hai ke apne bare me Kam aur dusre bare me zyada soche. Aur yeh kuch time baad normal sa lagne lagta hain. Toh iss film mein uss subject ko bahut acchi tarah se pesh kiya gaya hain.” (Whether you do any other thing or not, work for this film for sure. He said we all have a Sukhee inside us, we all have dreams, we all kill our dreams for each other. Our family conditioning is done in a way that we think of others more than ourselves. And it starts to feel normal after some time. And this film has projected the subject very well.)
