Shahid said that he refused a role in Rang De Basanti due to a lack of dates, despite falling in love with the script.
During a candid conversation,” Shahid Kapoor made a surprising revelation about being the initial choice for the iconic 2006 film “Rang De Basanti.” Kapoor disclosed that he was offered the role of Karan in the Aamir Khan starrer but ultimately had to decline the project due to prior commitments. Despite recognizing the potential of the script to make cinematic history, Kapoor expressed regret over his decision, admitting that he was overwhelmed with other film commitments at the time.
Reflecting on the missed opportunity, Kapoor acknowledged that “Rang De Basanti” remains one of his most lamented career choices.
