Tollywood leading lady Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan starrer film Shaakuntalam is an adaptation from internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam is all set to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada on February 17. Interestingly the film will be released in 2D and 3D effects.
Today the makers unveiled the movie’s trailer and the trailer video is simply a wonderful visual. Let’s take a look at it..
The video trailer has top-notch world-class visual effects and extraordinarily cinematographed sceneries. Seems like the makers have decided to carve the film as beautifully as it was written by Kalidasa. The film’s grandeur and splendour of the Dushyant’s Puru Dynasty are too good to watch on screen.
In the trailer, we can see emotionally driven lead characters besides introducing Allu Arha, Gautami, Ananya Nagalla, Jisshu Sengupta, and others in other important roles.
The plot of Shaakuntalam revolves around the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from Mahabharata, portrayed by Samantha and Dev respectively. This lead pair was last seen in Samantha’s Yashoda. Actually, the film’s release date was November 4, 2022. But due to some reasons, the release was postponed several times, and also Sam is suffering from a rare disease.
Already the released poster put the audience in shock and mesmerized, raising their enthusiasm and expectations to watch this upcoming mythological drama on the silver screen.
Supremely proficient director Gunasekhar is the director for this love tail. The cast includes Sachin Khedekar Kabir Bedi, Dr. M. Mohan Babu , Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles. Icon Star Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha portrays the role of Prince Bharata.
