Sandeep Singh gives up on the idea of a Tipu Sultan movie

Sandeep Singh, just 39 as of 2023, has produced amazing movies like Mary Kom, Aligarh, Sarabjit, Bhoomi, PM Narendra Modi, and Jhund. Before this, he joined Radio City in 2005. Today, he posted a sad note on his Twitter account about the upcoming movie based on Tipu Sultan, that he’s dropping the idea of it.

“The film on Hazrat Tipu Sultan will not be made. I kindly request my fellow brothers and sister to refrain from threatening or abusing my family, friends and me. I sincerely apologize if I have unintentionally hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. It was never my intention to do so, as I firmly believe in respecting all beliefs.
As Indians, let us forever unite and always give respect to one another! Love, Sandeep Singh.”

In May, he had revealed that he took up this topic because he wanted to show his tyranny who had destroyed temples and churches and converted Hindus to Islam. In his statement, Singh said that he had decided to drop the film “in the interest of peace and harmony”. He said that he wanted to “unite all Indians, irrespective of their religion or caste”. However, the backlash and response that he received from the audience, he decided to let go of the idea. Singh is now working on a biopic on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The film, titled Main Atal Hoon, stars Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role.
