Sai Dharam Tej and Samyutkha’s latest mystic thriller Virupaksha impressed the Telugu audience and resulted as a blockbuster in Telugu states. Now this movie is getting ready to release its Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil versions. The promotions of the same have already started.
While asked about the controversy behind the promotions of her latest Malayalam movie Boomerang, Samyukta clarified her stand.
Actor Shine Tom Chacko and the producers of the film Aji Medayyil and Thoufeek R came against the actress that day. “Not coming to the promotion of the film is not right because of changing the name. Be it Menon, be it Nair, be it Christian or Muslim, what is the point of not completing the work done? The person should be recognized. Not all names are earned after coming to earth. They will not come to small films. Only those who have collaborated survive. It is due to lack of commitment, the work done has gone bad. It will not come because of the thought” – Shine Tom alleged at that time.
Samyukta says that she did not say that she will only promote big-budget films. Boomerang is the film she worked on in 2019 but it took a long time due to many things. Finally, on a very tight schedule, the film got released. During the same time, ‘Virupaksha’ will begin its final shoot at the same time as the boomerang promotions. She was told when the promotion was about to take place. With this came the need to choose one or the other. So Samyuktha says she chose to concentrate on her upcoming film and was completely a professional choice, not a personal one.
The Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam versions of Virupaksha are all set to be released on May 5th.
