Samantha Ruth Prabhu visited the Pazhani Murugan temple in Tamil Nadu to seek blessings ahead of Shaakuntalam’s release. Surprising is that amidst Mitosis, she was seen climbing 600 steps barefoot and lighting camphor at every step as part of the tradition.
Pictures and videos of the actor went viral on the internet. The actress, who arrived at the temple on Monday, was accompanied by filmmaker Premkumar, famed for films ’96’ and ‘Janu’.
Samantha is a spiritual person and often visits Lord Venkateshwara temple in Tirupati. However this time she was seen at Murugan Temple.
On the work front, Samantha is gearing up for her upcoming movie ‘Shaakuntalam’, a pan-Indian mythological drama, based on Kalidasa’s epic. She is also busy with a romantic film, ‘Kushi,’ opposite actor Vijay Deverakonda and an action thriller web series ‘Citadel’ alongside Varun Dhawan.
