Salman Khan is gearing up to start shooting for AR Murugadoss’ upcoming film “Sikandar,” slated for release on Eid 2025. This project marks the superstar’s return to the big screen after “Tiger 3,” which hit theaters in 2023. However, following a recent firing incident outside Salman’s Mumbai residence, security measures have been significantly heightened for the actor. As per a report from Mid-Day, the specific shooting dates and locations for “Sikandar” have been shrouded in secrecy, with details shared only among a select group of 10 individuals.
Sikandar Film Updates
The pre-production preparations for AR Murugadoss’ “Sikandar” are set to kick off soon. However, the crew members involved in the project have been informed that they will not be privy to Salman Khan’s exact shooting schedules, locations, or whereabouts. “Salman and producer Sajid Nadiadwala have decided that only a core group of 10, outside of the actor’s personal security detail, will be privy to this information,” revealed a source familiar with the matter. Security arrangements will be established by Salman Khan’s security team at the shooting locations a fortnight before filming begins.
Before initiating the shoot at any location, Salman Khan’s security team will take charge and ensure the venue’s safety. This meticulous approach will be adhered to before every change in location during the filming process. In light of recent death threats, Salman Khan’s security measures have been significantly ramped up. His recent visit to Dubai for two events necessitated heightened security arrangements as he traveled from Mumbai to Dubai and back.
Salman Khan Security Tightens
The security measures were escalated following an alarming incident outside Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, on April 14. Two individuals fired gunshots outside the actor’s Mumbai home, prompting swift action from the Mumbai Police. Within a span of two days, the culprits were apprehended in Bhuj, Gujarat. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Salman Khan’s residence to provide assurance of enhanced Y+ security for the superstar.
On the professional front, Salman Khan’s most recent appearance was in filmmaker Maneesh Sharma’s “Tiger 3” alongside Katrina Kaif, which premiered in theaters on Diwali 2023. Additionally, Salman has an array of upcoming projects, including “The Bull” in collaboration with Karan Johar.
