Salaar’s presales in the United States
Salaar is breaking all barriers, records – everything that hadn’t been broken in Tollywood’s history before – and rewriting it. As Salaar’s presales begun in America, the results were fiery, grilling, extraordinary. And today, it crossed $100,000 with just the advance booking.
There was a time regional cinema wasn’t getting the recognition and remuneration it deserved. Despite the dripping excellency in the direction, cast and the rest of the crew, movies were only valued by the state, at max by the country, if they were lucky. But, when Indian movies started reaching international theatres in recent times, regional cinema took off like a jet, never coming back to the ground. RRR is the biggest, best example of what happens when Telugu cinema reaches the world. Baahubali was the first to create that milestone and that made a way for other Tollywood movies to make a mark in the US too.

But, with expansion of territory comes competition. Fans have been cut-throat about whether Salaar will surpass Baahubali and RRR openings in America. The release is more than a month away and the presales are already at a hundred thousand dollars. If this trend continues, the graph line will only go higher and higher, leaving the axis altogether because of it’s unbelievable success.
After Adipurush’s damage, Prabhas is regaining his balance in Tollywood with Kalki 2928 AD and Salaar. Although Adipurush was a volcanic eruption that left the world burnt to their flesh, Prabhas’ fanbase was die-hard, loyal to their bones. Within no time, the blunder was overlooked and the hooting, cheering atmosphere resumed.
